The Mayor of Craigavon Councillor Mark Baxter and Councillor Kenneth Twyble, chair of the SPACE Steering Group, took time out to enjoy an ice cream during a visit to the Peoples Park, Portadown, to the family fun day and craft fair event which is taking place in the park on Saturday.

Tomorrow (Saturday) Portadown People’s Park is hosting a fun day for all the family.

The festival will take place from 11am to 4pm and will feature an exclusive food and craft fair with indoor and outdoor vendors.

You will find a wide variety of meats including angus burgers, boar burgers, crocodile, venison, lamb and pulled pork as well as fine cheeses, sausage rolls, spices and bread. Those with a sweet tooth will not be disappointed with crepes, cakes, cookies, ice cream, Belgian chocolate dips, strawberries and sweets.

In the variety of craft stalls you will find stunning jewellery to suit all styles, art work, felt crafts and wooden crafts.

Children will also be delighted to find street performers, face painting, balloon modelling, a climbing wall, blacksmith workshops and demonstrations and music.

“This family fun day is really shaping up to be one for everyone to enjoy and we hope that people from near and far will take the time to come down and join us in this stunning park,” said Councillor Kenneth Twyble, chair of the SPACE Steering Group.

“We are delighted that so many local traders have come on board to showcase their wonderful produce and to be part of what promises to be a day out to suit everyone.”
