Organised by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, as part of the Northern Ireland Year of Food & Drink 2016, the event celebrated the theme “We Grow”.

Council’s Recycle Team and a number of local schools rolled their sleeves up, put their gloves on and had great enjoyment in potting up and planting their own seeds.

The worms in the wormery proved to be the highlight of the day for all age groups, with the worms amazing ability to climb through the worm tower trays to reach their food at the top!

Nobody left the market empty handed - everyone savoured the tasty delicious free apples and oranges from Lurgan’s very own High Street Harvest fruit shop.

Everybody also had the opportunity to enter the Free Raffle with a chance to win ‘High Street Harvest’s’ fresh fruit hamper.

A great day out!
