Fairbrother, who did not appear in court, admitted the offences through solicitor, Mr Conor Downey.

The court heard that at 8.20pm police saw a vehicle parked in the car park at the watersports centre in Craigavon.

The defendant was in the driver’s seat and he was watching a film on his tablet. Fairbrother admitted that he had just smoked some cannabis. An intoxication test later confirmed the drug was in his bloodstream.

The defendant said that he had not planned to drive for some time until after he had watched the film. He had no record.
