Hannath were delighted to welcome back returning teams, new additions, volunteers and supporters to PRFC for Hannath’s Charity Tag Tournament and Family Fun Day 2016.

The invited teams comprised of a number of local businesses who all pulled together for a family corporate day, raising funds for two very important local charities.

Over 200 players took part but in a hard fought final the Seagoe Socials (Seagoe Hotel) were beaten by The Mighty MAB (Money Matters Mortgage Advice Bureau) this year’s worthy victors!

The good causes supported this year were Portadown Panthers and Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens. Hannath sponsored the event allowing all proceeds from the team registration, family fun events, bucket collections and auction to go towards the final figure raised of £7,700.

Hannath were delighted to present £5,000 to the Portadown Panthers, the local tag rugby club catering for boys and girls aged six and over to young adults who have a Learning Disability. A Further £2,700 was given to Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens.

This is a charity that was very close to the heart of Charlene, a colleague and friend of all at Hannath who passed away last year after losing a short battle with cancer.

After the death of her baby girl Myla five years before, Charlene always wanted a kinder treatment for children with cancer. Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens is committed to raising money for research into cancers affecting children, teens and young adults, aiming to find cures and kinder treatment.

Hannath would like to thank all the companies who entered teams, those who joined in on the day and most importantly all of the companies that gave generously to support the event: Irwins bakery, Linden foods, Finnebrogue, Seagoe hotel, Eakin, The Yellow door and Kit Sports.

If you are interested in fielding a team next year, please contact Julie on 028 383 999 11.
