FOUR immigration offenders were arrested at a house in Abercorn Park on Wednesday morning.
UK Border Agency officers, acting on intelligence, targeted the house. Three Chinese men, aged 36 to 51, whose claims for asylum had been refused, and a 48-year-old Chinese woman who had entered the country illegally, were arrested. A sum of money was also seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
All four are now in UK Border Agency detention while steps are taken to remove them from the country
Janet Wiseman of the UK Border Agency, said, “Foreign nationals who are in this country illegally should be in no doubt that they will be found, arrested and removed from the UK.
“We are sending a simple, clear message to people who are in the country illegally – more raids are planned and you will be caught.”
