The inquest into the death of Ahorey mother-of-two Lynn Lewis (38), who died during a routine operation, has been adjourned until October 15.
The decision was taken at Laganside Court on Wednesday due to the complexity of the case.
Mrs Lewis (38) died in July 2011 after losing one-third of her blood during an operation at the Ulster Independent Clinic in Belfast to remove a benign growth from her uterus. She leaves husband Mark and two daughters, Jane (10) and Maggie (7).
The court heard that clarity was needed on various issues, with Mrs Lewis having died suddenly from a combination of haemorrhage and hyponatraemia (abnormal levels of sodium in the blood). Husband Mark said it was a very trying time for the family “not helped by the adjournment”.
