When she saw the police Smith began to swear at them and she was asked to stop shouting.
A member of the hospital staff said Smith had been running across the area, interfering with the care of patients and causing distress to families.
As she was being taken to the police vehicle she tried to pull away and had to be handcuffed. In the vehicle she calmed down and police brought her home.
