Lismore Comprehensive has been presented with an award for its role in promoting enterprise and entrepreneurship among pupils.
The school was announced as a Centre of Excellence by Young Enterprise NI at a ceremony in the Titanic Building, Belfast.
Cathy Morrison, Young Enterprise’s southern regional senior development manager, visited the school to present the award to students and staff.
She said, “Lismore Comprehensive has been working with Young Enterprise for many years, to promote business and enterprise to pupils, in order to help them develop skills and
qualities which will undoubtedly help them in their future careers.”
The school has facilitated a large amount of Young Enterprise business programmes over the years, in partnership with business leaders from the local community.
Principal Mrs Fiona Kane said she was delighted with the award and “looked forward to working in partnership with Young Enterprise for many years to come”.
