A Loughgall man was banned from driving last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.
Ryan Hughes (29), Red Lion Road, Loughgall, was fined £200 and disqualified from driving for 16 months for an excess alcohol offence.
On completion of a course for drink driving the ban would be reduced by four months.
The court heard that on March 10 this year at 12.40am police attention was drawn to a car.
The defendant, who was driving, was asked if he had been drinking and he said he had three beers. An evidential breath test gave a reading of 105 - the limit is 35.
A solicitor for Hughes said he was an HGV driver and because of this conviction his employment would end.
He explained that the defendant had been in a bar which he frequented and had parked in a car park close by. Usually at the end of the night he would walk to another bar where the owner, who was a neighbour, would give him a lift home.
However, on this night, added the solicitor, there had been an incident in the bar and Hughes decided to leave.
