A Tandragee man was given a suspended prison sentence last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for assaulting a woman.
Mark William Cunningham (32), Castle Mews, Tandragee, admitted unlawful assault, which happened on February 11 last year.
He was sentenced to three months in prison, suspended for two years.
The court heard that at 1.40am police were called to Craigavon Area Hospital where the injured party told them Cunningham had grabbed her by the shoulders and thrown her against a window.
When he was interviewed on March 21 the defendant admitted assaulting the female.
The case had been adjourned so that a pre-sentence report could be obtained.
