A court case against a 23 year old man had been adjourned to see if he is suitable to carry out community service.
Piotr Falat, Kernan Hill Manor, Portadown, pleaded guilty to a shoplifting charge last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.
He admitted stealing baby clothes, aftershave and perfume, valued at £107, from Asda on May 7 last year.
The court heard two males were seen on CCTV stealing items from the Asda store in Portadown.
Falat was identified by police and when he was interviewed he made a full admission.
Mr Conor Downey, representing the defendant, said his client stole only to make a profit.
District Judge, Mr Paul Copeland, said this was pre-planned and sentencing was on the verge of the custody threshold.
He adjourned that case until September 3 for a specific sentence report to see if the defendant was suitable for community service.
