Men arrested after attempted robbery



Two men have been arrested after an attemped robbery at a supermarket in Portadown

Police in Portadown arrested the two men, aged 21 and 22 year old.

They were caught at the premises on Armagh Road, Portadown on Wednesday, 18 December.

The men were subsequently charged with attempted theft and going equipped for theft.

They will appear before Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on 15 January, 2014.

“As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS,” said a spokesperson for the PSNI.
