Police appeal after plant machinery and bikes stolen

Police in Portadown have launched an appeal as the spate of thefts in the area during December continues.

Plant machinery was taken from business premises in Carn Industrial Estate on Saturday, December 7.

Some time between 6.10am and 6.25am a red Manitou telescopic forklift was stolen from a secure yard. The gates to the yard were forced, possibly by a vehicle.

Police suspect that the forklift travelled or was transported countrybound.

Police are appealing to anyone who noticed the forklift being driven or transported on December 7 to contact them.

Bikes and biking equipment were stolen from a garage on Seagoe Drive.

Some time between Sunday, December 1 and Saturday, December 7 a number of bicycles were taken. The stolen property includes: a carbon, black and white coloured Wilier Cento Uno Superleggera road bike, a white coloured Cervelop P3 time trial bike, a blue, silver and black coloured BH Global Concept road bike, a grey and white Kona Paddywagon which bears a white logo, Mavic Cosmic SLR wheels and Fast Forward carbon wheels.

The bicycles may have been taken from the rear of the property.
