Portadown residents have been warned to expect more severe weather as a fresh storm hits Northern Ireland on Friday.

Police have issued a warning of flooding in parts of Belfast and other parts of the province.

Portadown has already been affected by the recent severe weather with several roads blocked by fallen trees during the Boxing night storms last week.

On New Year’s Eve the River Bann in Portadown burst its banks following persistent rain.

High winds and heavy rain are expected throughout today (Friday) and following a quieter day tomorrow (Saturday) another storm is expected on Sunday.
