Have your say

Sinn Fein Councillor Johnny McGibbon has stood down from Craigavon Borough Council and been replaced by Catherine Seeley.

Mr McGibbon said he had accepted a “number of management and organisational commitments” within Sinn Fein and in addition to his position as PA to MLA John O’Dowd, it was “unrealistic” for him to continue as a councillor.

Catherine Seeley, a member of a well known Lurgan family, is 25 and was born and raised in Taghnevan. She graduated with a History and Politics Degree from Queen’s University Belfast, before completing a Post-Graduate Certificate of Education. Catherine has been involved in Sinn Féin politics from her student days.
