Speeding '˜R' driver given three points
A restricted driver who exceeded her 45mph speed limit by 20mph was given three points last week at Craigavon Magistrates Court.
Seneiva O’Connor (19), Ardowen, Craigavon, was also fined £100 and ordered to paya £15 offender’s levy.
The court heard that on March 31, police on mobile patrol in Portadown followed her vehicle and it travelled at speeds in excess of 65mph.
As an ‘R’ driver she was not allowed to go over 45mph.
Mr Conor Downey, representing the defendant, said she had been coming from a fast food outlet. He added that it was 12.20 at night and the traffic flow was very light.
