Tee off for charity at annual golf day

Loughgall Orange Order is supporting children's cancer charity, CLIC Sargent, on Friday 8th July.

The date marks their 6th annual charity golf day, and this year the money raised is going to a great cause.

John Currie of the Loughgall Orange Order, commented:

“Every year we choose a charity to support. This year we chose CLIC Sargent because we are only too aware of the impact cancer has on the children and young adults in Northern Ireland.”

Fiona McCann, Fundraising Manager at CLIC Sargent, said:

“We are delighted to have a charity golf day to support the work we do. We have been supporting families and their children in Northern Ireland for over 40 years. Our Home from Homes provide free accommodation to families and we are within walking distance from the Royal and City Hospital.”
Last year, CLIC Sargent supported more than 280 children and young people with cancer, and their families, from Northern Ireland.

The annual charity golf day takes place on 8 July in Loughgall Country Park, with tee times from 1-3pm.

Admission is £25 for members and £30 for non-members. The price includes golf, competition and food served at Derrycrew Orange Hall from 5:30pm onwards.

Prizegiving will begin at 7:30pm. Tee boxes can also be sponsored at a cost of £25.
