True Blues pay tribute to Portadown man hit by car

Portadown True Blues Flute Band have paid tribute to John Armstrong, a former member who died after being hit by a car on the Gilford Road on Sunday morning.

In a statement on their website, the band said they were “deeply saddened yet again at the loss of an ex-member of the PTB in the early hours of this morning (Sunday).

“Rest in peace big man, our thoughts and prayers are with the kids and family circle at this time”.

Mr Armstrong was in his early 40s and is believed to have been working as a taxi driver. He died after getting out of a taxi around 2am on Sunday.
