Two vans, laden with food and supplies for the rescuers and volunteers at Lough Nee, left Portadown on Tuesday evening and early on Wednesday morning.

The food and supplies were donated by communities and organisations across the Portadown area and will be used to sustain the volunteers still searching for Portadown man Daryl Burke.

The search has now entered its sixth full day.

Mayor Mark Baxter was helping at Killicomaine last night (Tuesday). “This is the true Portadown,” he said.

“People of all classed and creeds have been bringing in boxes and it’s totally cross-community.”
