Woman assaulted during Portadown burglary

A woman was thrown to the ground and assaulted after she disturbed burglars in Portadown at the weekend.

On Saturday, January 18, around 6pm, the 27-year-old woman disturbed the burglars at a house in Ballybay Mews, off Loughgall Road. The burglars were attempting to remove white goods from the premises.

Two of the males grabbed the female, threw her to the ground and assaulted her before taking her phone and making off in a silver Volkswagen car.

One of the males is described as being 5ft 8in tall, of slim to medium build with ginger/fair hair. He spoke with a local accent and was wearing dark clothing. The second male is described as being around 6ft tall, of slim to medium build and spoke with a local accent. He was also wearing dark clothing.
