Man struck with bottle in People’s Park attack
POLICE are appealing for information following an assault in Peoples Park which left a man with a fractured hand.
Around 6pm on February 1, a 23-year-old man was walking through the park when he was attacked from behind by three males. The victim was kicked in the back and struck with a glass bottle as he tried to protect himself. He sustained a fractured hand.
Police are describing the incident as an “unprovoked attack” and are appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault or has information in relation to it to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
