Man wounded in Portmore Street assault

A 32-YEAR-OLD man received a serious slash wound to his throat after an assault in the Portmore Street area of Portadown on Friday.

The incident happened shortly after 9.30am and a 43-year-old man was arrested.

He was later charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and will appear at Craigavon Magistrates Court on Friday, September 28.

As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
