PORTADOWN Chamber of Commerce relaunched its logo which was designed by a town company this week.

The new-look logo was designed by Face Communications, formerly Cornett Design, based on the Armagh Road.

Neil Cornett, of Face Communications, revealed the design processes of the new logo which displays three colourful elements which represent the three local bridges which cross the River Bann.

“This not only emphasises the part played by the bridges in Portadown, but relates to the vital roll played by the chamber of commerce, within the growth of the local economy and business development,” said Neil.

He explained that the varied colours used in the logo helped “portray the many different kinds of local businesses” within the town “who work tirelessly to offer excellent service and goods to locals and visitors alike”.

Neil added that Face Communication selected “simple and modern fonts” for the logo. “In a nutshell, the new identity portrays an organisation that works in harmony with people and businesses with a clear and modern approach.”

The new logo was given the seal of approval by Craigavon Mayor, Councillor Alan Carson, who said, “I’m delighted to see that the chamber is so proactive in working with council, traders, businesses and other statutory agencies in Portadown. This revamped logo reflects their tenacity and enthusiasm in trying to drive the town forward. It really is the case that together we succeed.”
