DETECTIVES investigating the murder of stab victim David Neill revisited the scene at Parkmore, Craigavon on Sunday morning.

The 45-year-old father-of-two had been stabbed close to his home after it was attacked in the early hours of Sunday September 16.

Detectives combed the area in a bid to gather more information about what happened.

The officer in charge of the investigation, Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Talbot said, “We are working to piece together the events of the morning of Sunday, 16 September.

“We need to hear from anyone who noticed any kind of activity around David’s house on that morning, whether this was people gathered in the area, people calling to houses in the area or vehicles around the area. We also want to talk to anyone who spoke to David on Saturday night prior to his death or early on Sunday morning.

“The community in Craigavon have been shocked by the death of David. David was in his own home whenever it was attacked. He was subsequently murdered. The impact of this tragedy is not something we underestimate and I would like to reassure the community that we are doing everything in our power to find out exactly what happened at Parkmore on the night in question.

“That is why we will be back at the scene on Sunday 7 October 2012, mounting vehicle checkpoints and talking to local people to make sure we collect every possible piece of information in this case.

“I would ask anyone in the area who knows anything about what happened to come and talk to us. Anyone who can provide information is asked to contact the Incident Room at Gough Barracks on 028 3751 7390. Alternatively, people can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
