Resurfacing scheme starts on Moy Road
WORK on a £150,000 major resurfacing scheme starts on Moy Road, Portadown next week.
The work is due to begin on Monday, January 14 between Druminally Road and Richmount Road.
To help minimise disruption to road users and to meet strict health and safety regulations, the road will be closed to through traffic while work is ongoing, a period of two weeks from Monday to Sunday, January 27 inclusive.
The work is expected to be complete by January 27.
Whilst the work is in progress, traffic will be diverted via Dungannon Road and Derrylettiff Road.
This diversion route will be “clearly signed” to assist road users.
Minister Danny Kennedy said, “Roads Service has made every effort to programme the necessary works operations, and traffic management arrangements, to minimise inconvenience to the public. Motorists, however, should be aware that some delays can be expected and they should allow additional time when planning journeys.
“As with all works of this nature planned dates are subject to favourable weather conditions and Roads Service will keep the public informed of any unavoidable change.
“Roads Service is aware that there will be some disruption to traffic while these improvements are being made and would ask all road users to exercise care and patience.”
