Skips delivery as part of clean in Ballyoran
THREE skips are to be delivered to Ballyoran Park as part of an initiative by Ballyoran Community Association to clean up the area.
The skips, provided by Craigavon Borough Council, will be at the lower part of the estate (the white bricked houses) on Monday, April 16 between 9am and 2pm.
Three skips were provided for the top part of the estate this Wednesday.
Elaine Sterritt, secretary of the residents’ group, said the provision of the skips was an opportunity for people to tidy up their gardens and the estate in general. She said, “It’s the first time this has happened in the area. It gives people more ownership of their area.”
Anyone, such as pensioners, who need a hand with getting items to the skips is asked to get in contact with Elaine on 07525026057 or Yvonne Sterritt, chairperson of the group, on 07919891104.
The community association has also set up a Facebook page where residents can get information on what happening in the area, as well as advice on grants available through the council or Housing Executive.
