Teen treated in hospital after gang attack

POLICE in Portadown are appealing for information after a 17-year-old was assaulted in the Brownstown Road area.

The attack happened in the early hours of Saturday, March 24, when the teenager was set upon shortly before 2.25am by a number of unknown males. He received head injuries and was treated at a local hospital. His injuries were not believed to be serious.

A police spokesperson said there was no information at this time to establish the motive behind the crime.
