Teen treated in hospital after gang attack

POLICE in Portadown are appealing for information after a 17-year-old was assaulted in the Brownstown Road area.

The attack happened in the early hours of Saturday, March 24, when the teenager was set upon shortly before 2.25am by a number of unknown males. He received head injuries and was treated at a local hospital. His injuries were not believed to be serious.

A police spokesperson said there was no information at this time to establish the motive behind the crime.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information is asked to contact police in Portadown on 0845 600 8000. Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
