Two charged after cable theft

TWO men have been charged with a number of offences following the theft of cable from an NIE site at Carn Industrial Estate on Saturday, April 28.

A 20-year-old was charged with theft, going equipped, handling stolen goods, taking and driving away (TADA), and driving with no insurance or licence. He will appear before Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on May 23.

A 30-year-old man has been charged with theft, going equipped and handling stolen goods and will appear in Craigavon Court on the same day.

As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
