THERE is a slight change to the schedule for Thomas Street Methodist Church’s Love Your Church Week in February 2013.
All sections of the community, including church members, are invited to the various events between February 9 and 17.
The prayer morning in the Wesley Hall, originally scheduled for Saturday, February 16, has been brought forward to Saturday, February 9. This is to avoid a clash with the Methodist Missionary Society’s Global Vision conference in Lismore Comprehensive College. This is an all age event. Key note speakers include Rev. David Nixon and Mrs Rhoda Nixon, returned mission partners from Zambia.
Church members will be wrapping and distributing heart-shaped chocolates during the week. The Thomas Street Methodist Church Outreach team welcomes help from anyone wishing to get involved with the Love Your Church Week.
Further information on the Love Your Church Week can be obtained from the church office 02838361213 between 9.30am and 12 noon, Monday to Friday, or from Eddie Drury on 07866273306.
On Sunday, February 10 there will be a family breakfast with speaker Mayor Carla Lockhart. There will be an overseas mission service at morning worship (11am) and a BB Old Boys Bible class at 3pm.
On February 11 there will be a congregation meal at Zio Restaurant at 7pm. Music will be by Chris Maguire and there will be a quiz.
Other events are as follows: February 12 - GB pampering night; February 13 - BB/Midweek meeting pizza night; February 14: open door event, evening door-to-door community outreach; February 15: BB table quiz night; February 16: gospel music evening with The Harvesters; February 17: family sevice at morning worship, evening testimony service in the upper room.
