A man received medical treatment following a road traffic collision in Lisburn this morning (Wednesday).

It is understood the collision took place at approximately 7:55am.

Commenting on the incident, a spokesperson for Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) said: “NIFRS responded to a road traffic collision involving a single van on the M1 Motorway at Sprucefield roundabout near Lisburn.

“Firefighters made scene safe. A 67-year-old man was out of the vehicle on arrival of FRS. The casualty was conveyed to the Lagan Valley Hospital by ambulance. Fire crew from Lisburn station attended the incident.”
