While trying to goad other people into a fight a 24-year-old man knocked a pizza box out of the hands of a man, Craigavon Court heard last Wednesday.

Vytaytas Mikulinas, Birch Hill Park, Portadown, was fined £200 for disorderly behaviour at Edward Street, Lurgan, on January 25.

The court heard that in the early hours of the morning a police patrol saw a man causing problems to people leaving a bar. The defendant was shouting in the direction of another man.

After police requests he walked away in the direction of Church Place but another member of the public said he had been verbally abusive to him.

Police saw Mikulinas shouting and goading a male and a female into a fight. In Edward Street he knocked a pizza box out of the hands of a man.

A defence solicitor claimed that in the incident where his client knocked the pizza out of the man’s hands abusive language had been used towards him.

He said the defendant accepted he was intoxicated and his behaviour was completely out of order.
