A Portadown man has been returned for trial to Craigavon Crown Court on a charge of making a false representation.

William Newell (40), whose address is Beechcote Avenue, Portadown, appeared last Thursday at a preliminary enquiry at Craigavon courthouse.

The charge against him alleges that on May 15, 2013, he dishonestly made a false representation that he had full ownership of a Nissan Pathfinder to make a gain for himself and cause a loss to a person.

Newell was remanded on his own bail of £500 to appear for arraignment at Craigavon Crown Court on April 14.
