Man was verbally abusive to the police

A 20-year-old man who was verbally abusive to police was fined £75 last Wednesday at Craigavon Court for disorderly behaviour on December 8.

Ciaran McCann, The Beeches, Portadown, was also ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.

The court heard that at 1.50am at the Magowan Buildings car park the defendant started shouting verbal abuse at police.

Police escorted him away but he continually tried to return. He put his face into an officer’s face and was abusive.

Police warned him about his language but he continued and was arrested.
