For almost 20 years, this local charity has been supporting the spreading of the Gospel, in both spiritual and practical ways, to the Philippines and South East Asia.

Since 1999, Grace Ministries Field Missionaries Mr Gareth and Mrs Lorelei McDowell have been serving the Lord in the Philippines and through the help of family, friends and the local community, Grace Ministries have developed a network of Christian literature distribution to many churches and pastors from across the Philippines.

Prior to commencing his role as a missionary, Gareth obtained his trade as an electrician, a skill which he still utilises in the churches he supports. A native of Markethill, he felt called to join the mission field. Gareth obtained his Theology Degree from Marietta Bible College, Ohio, USA where he met his wife Loreleli, a native of the Philippines.

After the couple completed their studies they served in the USA, before the opportunity to support Churches in the Philippines arrived.

In 1999, the couple along with family and friends saw the need for the establishment of a charity, based in Northern Ireland and supporting the churches, pastors and people of the Philippines in a both spiritual and practical ways.

In recent years, this support includes Bible and Gospel Tract, Distribution, Typhoon Relief, Education programmes and Food Programme.

This event has been sponsored by the Deputy Lord Mayor Cllr Paul Greenfield.

Speaking in the run up to the event Mr McDowell stated, “Friday Night Live is a wonderful way to celebrate the Gospel and also enable the local community to learn more of the Work which Grace Minsistries is providing throughout the Philippines.
