Teachers, parents, councillors and police attended a meeting at Derryhale Primary School to discuss traffic issues and road safety fears.

The school has been lobbying for safety measure for 10 years and while some have been implemented it says more are needed.

DUP Councillor Gareth Wilson said, “I will continue to support the efforts of the school to find a long-term solution that would accommodate more vehicle parking close to the school. I would also urge passing motorists to exercise great care when approaching the school and slow down and be alert for children making their way to the gate.” INPT21-200.
