A woman had her driving ban replaced by penalty points when she produced her driving licence last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.

Wioletta Grzyb (35), Wentworth Green, Portadown, was originally fined £75 and banned for six months for driving without due care and attention.

But at the court the judge indicated that if she had produced her licence she would have received points.

Last Wednesday her solicitor produced her driving licence to the court.

The ban was set aside and she was given four penalty points instead. The fine remained the same.

The court heard that on April 29 in Portadown she pulled out into oncoming traffic forcing a car to brake suddenly.
