Councillor Gemma McGibbon has praised the organisers of the Spooktacular Halloween event, which took place in the People’s Park in Portadown on Tuesday October 25.
Mrs McGibbon attended the event and has congratulated everyone involved in organising this year’s Halloween spectacular.
Following her attendance at the event, Ms McGibbon commented: “Praise must be given to council officers and all who were involved in the organisation and running of the event.
“Each year Spooktacular gets bigger and better.
“The movie theme of tonight’s event really captured imaginations and had something for everyone.
“It is a family fun evening that can be enjoyed by the young and the young at heart.
“The success of the event is evident in the growing numbers.
“Thousands from across the borough and further afield flock to Portadown every Halloween to go to the Spooktacular in the park.
“It is an important event as it showcases what the borough and indeed Portadown has to offer.
“It is vital that council continue to organise events like this which are affordable to families.
“I will work alongside officers to ensure that accessing the tickets for Spooktacular is as inclusive as possible.”
