A young Portadown man will be bringing his own distinctive brand of rap to England when he takes part in the TalentFest finals at the end of this month.
Aaron Branko Brankin (26) will be appearing at the Winter Gardens venue, Blackpool, where he will compete against more than 20 other contestants in the senior solo singing category.
The Ballyoran man made it through to the finals after success in the Belfast heat of the competition in June.
And he has been busy closer to home as well, having released his new single ‘What if you could Fly?’ on Blast 106FM on Monday night.
He will also stage a guest performance at the Civic Centre tomorrow (Saturday) at Linda Mays’ ‘Secret Street Crew’ charity dance show.
Aaraon, a former pupil of Drumcree College, has been writing and recording since he was 14. He took part in school talent competitions, Stars in Yer Eyes at the Waterfront Hall and was a member of the Pamela Cassells drama group as well as Moyraverty Arts and Drama Society (MADS).
A local council worker, Aaron would love to pursue a career in music full-time. He said, “I have been getting back into performing this year and am currently in talks with an agent, Fintan Cullen, who is first cousin of Liam and Noel Gallagher.”
