Adventure-lovers are being urged to sign up for the 4 Peaks Challenge in aid of Southern Area Hospice.

The challenge, which will take place from June 5-9, involves climbing the highest peak in each of Ireland’s four provinces over one weekend.

Participants will scale Ireland’s highest mountain, Carrauntoohil in Co Kerry, followed by Mweelrea in Co Mayo and Slieve Donard in Co Down, before finishing with Lugnaquilla in Co Wicklow.

A reasonable standard of fitness is necessary and the exhibition is led by experienced guides on each mountain.

A non-refundable deposit of £100 is needed to secure a place as well as a minimum sponsorship of £1,200, which covers coach transfers, overnight accommodation as well as breakfast and dinner.

If you would like more information or to sign up contact Lisa Hamill in the fundraising office on 028 3025 1333 or email hamilll@southernareahospiceservices.org
