Seagoe industrial estate would benefit from traffic lights to allow easier access from Moy Park onto the Seagoe Road, the company has said.

The company, which has its head office in the estate, was responding to a report in last week’s Portadown Times which revealed that an analysis of the road network at Carn and Seagoe estates is to be carried out to assess their suitability for future redevelopment.

A spokesperson for Moy Park said, “As a large employer in the Craigavon area since the 1980s, with our European head office based locally in the Seagoe Industrial Estate, we engage in a positive and constructive manner with the council and local roads division on areas of mutual interest.

“We have expressed our support for improved transport measures in and around Seagoe Industrial Estate including the installation of traffic lights to allow easier access onto the Seagoe Road.”
