Local MP David Simpson has embarked on a community engagement mission through local groups to gain feedback and ensure that communities have a strong voice in the Brexit negotiations.
Speaking after the recent talks in Magheralin Nr Simpson said: “Brexit negotiations are now a reality and I am meeting with community groups to ensure that their views and opinions are heard. Throughout Upper Bann there is a resounding need for clarity on funding for our communities. Extensive work and commitment by volunteers locally have delivered great dividends for local communities and I am committed to ensure that their work can continue without any gaps in funding.
“I want to pay specific tribute to the Magheralin group who have continued to deliver for all sections of the community in the area. It was great to hear of their plans for the future and their vision for the community especially as they engage with new dwellers. I look forward to supporting their efforts to address issues and have no doubt with their commitment and enthusiasm great things are ahead.”
