The 22 lodges of Tandragee District LOL No 4 will form the ‘Ring’ at the top of Main Street at 11am before they proceed to nearby Portadown with their bands and dozens of Lambeg drums on July 12.

The ‘Ring’ formation has been a traditional ritual in the hills of Tandragee for upwards of 100 years.

Bessbrook District LOL No 11, the smallest of the 11 Co Armagh districts, will be headed in Portadown by the Portadown Defenders Flute Band, doubling up with two engagements after parading with Portadown District. The Bessbrook District will be led by Bessbrook True Blues Flute Band and Bessbrook Crimson Arrow Pipe Band.

Loughgall District No 3, with 22 lodges widely scattered the area, is the only of the 11 Co Armagh districts that does not parade in its village or town as an entity.

Loughgall District members take great pride in the fact their forebearers founded the Orange Institution after the Battle of the Diamond in September 1795.
