The Remembrance Sunday commemorations in Portadown were held during miserable weather this morning.

Representatives of the Royal British Legion and other organisations laid wreaths at the town cenotaph in front of St Mark’s Church as rain fell heavily.

With the Lord Mayor of Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Council Councillor Darryn Causby carrying out the official duties in Armagh, the council wreath was laid by the DUP’s Jonathan Buckley.

A two minutes’ silence was held for the Fallen in Portadown, Tandragee, Richhill, Markethill and Loughgall.

There was no role for Sinn Fein Deputy Mayor Councillor Catherine Seeley in any of the commemorations.
