Members of Portadown Royal British Legion (RBL) have already been busy with the annual poppy appeal and held the annual Festival of Reembrance in Portadown Town hall last week, in conjunction with Edenderry Community Development Association.

The festival concluded with an Act of Remembrance conducted by the Rev Charles McCartney, branch chaplain.

On Friday, November 11 an Act of Remembrance will be held at War Memorial at 11am. The general public are invited to attend.

On Sunday, November 16 the Remembrance Sunday parade and service will take place, starting off at RBL Thomas Street at 10.30am for the parade to the War Memorial.

The public are invited to attend and lay wreaths. Following the service the RBL will attend the church service in St Mark’s Church.
