UUP to vote on whether to lead formal Opposition
The Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) will decide on Saturday evening whether or not to leave the Stormont Executive to lead a formal Opposition that could include gene pool Ulster Unionists who have left the fold and Jim Allister.
UUP leader Mike Nesbitt made the announcement on Wednesday, August 26.
He said the party wanted clarity on the status of the Provisional IRA and its current command structure if it’s proven to be still extant.
