Wee Wonders were delighted to return to the Meadows Shopping Centre at the weekend for their annual Halloween Party - and they got more than they had bargained for!

Puppets, Wendy and Will Wonder, entertained over 100 children aged 0-7 years at the Meadows Centre in Portadown. Children took part in a range of spooky activities, including singing, games, sign language, stories, arts and crafts.

The sessions finished with a ‘bang’ as the children had to be evacuated due to a fire in the building, but Wendy and Will made the most of the opportunity and were on hand with their special super powers to assist the fire brigade putting out the fire.
The Wee Wonders team wish to thank everyone who attended and made the day so special.

Wee Wonders classes return to Portadown Town Hall this week with classes on Friday and a new Saturday class, which has just been introduced. Wee Wonders is a fun and educational way for children to build confidence and learn social skills through play. The wonderful puppets, Wendy and Will Wonder, take children on a fantastic journey where they explore their natural inquisitive selves through singing, movement, games, multi-sensory activities, stories, arts and crafts.

All classes aid children’s communication and development by teaching them the art of baby sign language through a range of activities. Parents with babies will often feel frustrated when their child has been crying and they don’t know why. At Wee Signers (0-1 years) Wee Wonders use simple hand gestures to show parents how to communicate with baby, just like teaching them how to wave ‘bye bye’ - thus removing much of the frustration and guesswork.

For toddlers aged 1-2 years, Wonder Tots concentrates on keeping busy, energetic toddlers entertained with a variety of short, fun activities. Each session will concentrate on a different theme, including a simple introduction to colours, numbers and key words.

Wonder Kids is an exploratory, active class suitable for 2-4 year olds that includes a wide variety of fun activities, including singing, reading and interactive games. All Wee Wonders activities adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines.
