Causby hits back at Sinn Fein comment

Councillor Darryn Causby has hit back at Sinn Fein criticism of unionist public representatives in Portadown.

Referring to Paul Duffy’s comments after the sectarian attack on a 15-year-old boy in Obins Street, the DUP man said the remarks were “absolutely outrageous and do nothing other than heighten tensions”.

“It is clear he is not interested in community relations in Portadown. There was an organised campaign last year by elements within the nationalist community, fully supported by Sinn Fein, to maintain the Public Park’s status as a closed shop for the unionist community.”
