WOMEN from the Methodist churches in Portadown will be preparing this month’s Christian Aid lunch.
The lunch, organised by the charity’s Portadown committee, will be held in Armagh Road Presbyterian Church Hall from 12-1.30.
Home-made soup, bread and cheese will be on the menu, with tea, coffee and a biscuit to follow, for a minimum donation of £3.
Local organiser Moyra Stirling said, “The lunches have been very popular and we have raised over £2,000 in the past 13 months.”
Money raised goes to support the work of Christian Aid in impoverished countries across the world.
