Town's youth players earn plaudits as awards are handed out PORTADOWN'S new president, Eamon Haughey, was joined by club captain Diarmuid O'Kane and coach, Hika Reid, at the recent youth dinner following which awards for the 2007/08 campaign were presented.

Mission accomplished PORTADOWN 18 CILL DARA 6 PORTADOWN'S on-going banishment of the blues which followed last season's relegation from the All-Ireland League, and with it the loss of senior status, reached completion on Saturday afternoon.

Town men on target ONE down, two to go. That's the position in which Portadown's rugby men find themselves on the eve of tomorrow afternoon's Chambers Park meeting with Leinster Qualifying League champions, Kildare.

Players keen to prove point PORTADOWN'S players are hopeful that their decision to forego a place on Easter Monday's Towns' Cup stage will be fully vindicated in the space of the next eight days.
