LOUGHGALL striker, Lukasz Adamczyk, has agreed terms with Newry City over a transfer to the top-flight club.
The Poland-born forward, previously a target for Glenavon, was recently placed on the transfer list at his own request.

Newry's initial bid was dismissed by the villagers but Loughgall did grant the club permission to open negotiations with Adamc
zyk.

"We turned down Newry's original bid but they have a strong interest in Lukasz," said Loughgall manager, Niall Currie. "We provided Newry permission to talk to the player and I understand that personal terms have been agreed.

"Now we are waiting for Newry to respond with an improved figure.

"We are now back in training and the plan is to secure deals with our targets as quickly as possible.

"I hope to bring in a few fresh faces over the early stages of pre-season training as that can only help everyone.

"We have put together a strong programme of friendly fixtures and it has been designed to test the players and improve fitness levels.

"The highlight is Marc Robinson's testimonial game against defending IFA Premiership champions, Glentoran, on Saturday, August 1.

"The Glens have promised to travel to Loughgall with a strong panel and it should be a good challenge for both sets of players, plus provide Marc with a fitting tribute to mark his decade of outstanding service."

Loughgall's other confirmed fixtures are as follows: Abbey Villa (away, July 4), Dollingstown (away, July 15), Dromara Village (away, July 18), Newry City (home, July 25), Ivan Marshall Cup (home, starts July 27 v Dungannon Swifts).
